On the morning of April 30, the General Assembly to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement was held in the Great Hall of the People. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the State and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended and delivered important speeches. The Youth League Committee of Law School organized all members of the college to listen to and watch the live broadcast of the conference.

On the May Day holiday, with the vigorous mobilization of the Youth League Committee of the College, the students responded positively and adapted to local conditions. The students who stayed at school watched the live broadcast of the conference in the dormitory group as a unit. The students who left school watched the live broadcast of the conference in groups or individuals on the way to Beijing, during the gap of their journey or at home. They earnestly studied General Secretary Xi Jinping's affectionate message to the youth of the new era. They reviewed what young people had done a hundred years ago. The May 4th Movement, which was initiated by the New Democratic Revolution and played a pioneering role by young students. They made clear the theme, direction and mission of the Chinese youth movement in the new era, and strived to be the young people of the new era who set up lofty ideals, love the great motherland and shoulder the responsibility of the times.

At the end of the conference, the Youth League members of the Law School, taking the League branch as a unit, discussed and studied the spirit of the General Secretary's important speeches in depth through online and offline parallel ways. One hundred years ago, the advanced young intellectuals were the pioneers of the May 4th Movement. The student mobilization conference launched at that time took place in the law Hall of the Third Academy of Peking University. In the new era, the majority of young people are the fresh force in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the young Peking University lawyers shoulder the historical mission of devoting themselves to the great practice of running the country by law in an all-round way. Over the past 100 years, the May 4th Movement spirit has been deeply integrated into the historical blood and cultural gene of Peking University's lawyers. Patriotism, progress, democracy and science have become the glorious tradition of Peking University's lawyers. Generations of Peking University's lawyers have integrated patriotism and patriotism into the great cause and realized the value of life in the great struggle of hundreds of millions of people to realize the Chinese dream. As a young legal person, we should resolutely implement the Secretary-General's ardent expectations for young people, embrace the new era and strive for the new era, inherit the baton to accomplish the two hundred-year goals and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and make youth contribute in the glow more brilliant to the motherland, the people, the nation and mankind!
