On July 14th, the early morning campus was exceptionally quiet. At 7:00 am, the 1988 alumni had arrived according to appointment. Returning to the alma mater from all over the world after 30 years from 1988 to 2018, they chose to run around the WeiMing lake to reminisce their youth—— one lap for one year. In this way, they reminisced dreams, reflected the past and tasted happiness.

 At 11:00 am, the alumni who ran 30 laps returned to the Moot Court in Leo KoGuan Building and gathered together with teachers. Lu Jiangnan, deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee of Peking University Law School, Dang Shuping, director of the Alumni Affairs Office of Law School, Lu xinxin, deputy director of the Alumni Affairs Office of Law School, attended the symposium and participated in this special back-to-school activity with some of the 1988 undergraduate alumni

Mr. Lu Jiangnan firstly represented all the teachers and students of the law school to welcome the alumni of the 1988 grade to go home. He introduced the development and construction of the law school in recent years to the alumni and highlighted the work of the alumni affairs. He said that he hopes to strengthen the relationship with alumni through various forms of communication and the construction of various alumni association, improve the service to alumni, and hope that the upcoming alumni information platform will realize the normalized communication between alumni and alumni, alumni and Law School.

Then, Sun Jiahong, alumni representative, expressed their gratitude and blessing to the Law School on behalf of the alumni. She shared her own 30-lap journey around the WeiMing lake. “Every lap I ran, I recalled what I did that year. thus a lap tells a story”. Sun Jiahong especially said proudly, led by the spirit of senior schoolmates, many students and teachers also participated in the running , which is very spectacular.

Finally, the alumni who participated in the sharing meeting took photos with the teachers in the mock court.
