Beijing Zhongwen Law Firm Donates to Support Peking University Law School's “International Legal Talent Development Program”

On June 6, 2025, the donation ceremony for the “International Legal Talent Development Program” jointly established by Peking University Law School and Beijing Zhongwen Law Firm was solemnly held at Guoshuang Courtyard of Peking University Law School.


Attendees included Wu Ge, Director of Beijing Zhongwen Law Firm; partners Yang Fan, Li Yujuan, Yang Gai Feng, Cheng Jiuyu, Si Wei, Su Jianyou, and Liu Jinyi; Tang Jinnan, Party Secretary of Peking University Law School; Dai Xin, Vice Dean; Professor Zhang Qi; Wang Huawei, Assistant Dean; Li Yuanyuan, Assistant Dean and Director of the External Affairs Office; Cui Huayuan, International Affairs Specialist; and student representatives. The ceremony was presided over by Lu Jiangnan, Vice Party Secretary of Peking University Law School.




Tang Jinnan extended a warm welcome on behalf of Peking University Law School to Director Wu Ge and his delegation from Zhongwen Law Firm. He emphasized the School’s commitment to fulfilling its vital mission of “cultivating internationally competitive legal professionals with expertise in foreign-related law” in response to national strategic needs. He expressed sincere gratitude to Zhongwen Law Firm for its financial support of the “Peking University Law School International Legal Talent Development Program,” highlighting the collaborative effort to deepen the integration of legal education and practice.


Wu Ge thanked Peking University Law School for its warm hospitality. Drawing from Zhongwen Law Firm’s development philosophy, he shared the firm’s commitment to giving back to education. He stated that Zhongwen Law Firm’s support for the international talent cultivation program aims to foster versatile legal professionals who “understand China’s legal landscape and master international rules and discourse” through a dual-track model of “theoretical study + international practice.”


Zhang Qi highly commended Zhongwen Law Firm’s philanthropic spirit and sense of responsibility. He noted that the firm’s support for Peking University Law School’s international talent development program exemplifies its foresight and commitment to advancing legal education and research, as well as strengthening foreign-related rule of law initiatives. He expressed his hope that participating students would uphold excellence and embrace challenges, drawing on advanced experiences from international programs. Through diligent study, a humble attitude, and proactive engagement, they should maximize their acquisition of legal knowledge and wisdom, laying a solid foundation for their future careers and contributions to society.


Chu Yiyi, a 2020 doctoral student at Peking University Law School, spoke on behalf of the students. She stated that participating in international training programs offers young scholars invaluable opportunities to broaden their global perspectives, cultivate cross-border legal thinking, and enhance professional capabilities. Representing the program participants, she expressed gratitude to Zhongwen Law Firm for its generous support, which allowed students to witness the noble character of legal professionals giving back to society and upholding the spirit of the rule of law. The students pledged to absorb international legal wisdom with diligence and an open cultural mindset, committing to repay society with their professional expertise in the future and become legal professionals embodying both a belief in the rule of law and international competitiveness.


Witnessed by attending guests, Wu Ge and Tang Jinnan signed the donation agreement, marking a new phase in their collaboration for legal talent development. Moving forward, Peking University Law School will work closely with Zhongwen Law Firm to support the International Legal Talent Development Program, empowering students to broaden their global perspectives, cultivate international legal thinking and capabilities, and make new contributions to the cause of the rule of law.
