President of University of Ottawa Visits Peking University Law School

On the morning of November 10, a delegation led by Marie-Ève Sylvestre, President of the University of Ottawa, Canada, visited Peking University Law School. Prof. Guo Li, Dean of Peking University Law School, met with the guests, accompanied by Wang Huawei, Assistant Dean and Assistant Professor.

Dean Guo Li extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation. President Sylvestre expressed her gratitude for the warm reception from Peking University Law School. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on their respective law schools' development models, talent cultivation approaches, and strengths in disciplines, and held in-depth discussions on topics of mutual interest.
President Sylvestre expressed hope to establish multi-level cooperative relations with Peking University Law School, including summer schools, joint training programs, and academic seminars. She particularly emphasized the desire to strengthen academic exchanges in cutting-edge fields such as comparative law and AI law, promoting deeper interaction and cooperation between the two sides.
Dean Guo Li expressed agreement with the cooperation proposals. He emphasized that Peking University Law School is willing to work with the University of Ottawa to actively expand channels for faculty and student exchanges, promote the implementation of faculty visits and student joint training programs, and jointly build a long-term and stable friendly cooperative relationship.
