The Graduation Ceremony of the Advanced Seminar on Cross-Law Issues among Criminal Civil and Administrative Law at Peking University Successfully Held

At 5 pm on May 23rd, the graduation ceremony of the Advanced Seminar on Cross-Law Issues among Criminal Civil and Administrative law at Peking University was held in Lecturer Hall of Koguan Building of Law School. Zhang Shouwen, Dean of Peking University Law School, Liang Genlin, Professor of Law School, and Chen Ruihua, Professor of Law School attended the event. The ceremony was hosted by Shi Shi, the director of the Domestic Cooperation Office of Law School.
The ceremony first played a video of the completion of the seminar. The participants reviewed the unforgettable learning time in five days. Afterwards, Chen Liang, senior partner of Hubei Lifeng Law Firm and Zhao Chunyu, director of the National Criminal Profession Committee of Yingke Law Firm, successively took the stage to share the harvest and experience of Peking University's criminal debate class and expressed their feelings for Peking University's spirit. They also put forward the pertinent suggestions and expectations for the future development of the criminal defense class.
Professor Liang Genlin thanked the students for their support on behalf of the seminar teachers. He said that it was precisely because of the seriousness, commitment, enthusiasm, and commitment of the trainees that they moved and motivated the teacher to be more careful. Professor Liang used four sentences to talk with the trainees. Firstly we must have homeland feelings; Secondly we must be professional; thirdly we need to be rational and fourthly we have to take strategy. It is hoped that all students will use their professional wisdom together to make tangible contributions to China’s legal construction.
Professor Chen Ruihua, the main advocate of the seminar, said that criminal defense is the most difficult and most dedicated to dedication and spirit of struggle in the legal profession. The criminal defense lawyers provide professional legal services for the parties and, in particular, they need to learn from each other and continue to improve. In the five-day specialized and diversified curriculum, both domestic top criminal law scholars and senior practical experts impart frontier theory and practical knowledge, and well-known lawyers represent valuable experience. The trainees take what they need and receive good social results.
Dean Zhang Shouwen represented the Peking University Law School to congratulate the trainees on the successful completion of the five-day high-level study. He pointed out that the first-class teachers and 214 outstanding students formed a good team atmosphere and presented excellent course results, which are very worth celebrating. He thanked the students for choosing Peking University Law School and chose the highest-level legal education in the country. He hoped that the old and new students would meet again in the future.
At this point, the five-day Advanced Seminar on Cross-Law Issues among Criminal Civil and Administrative law at Peking University was completed successfully. The trainees further improved the professional knowledge base on the basis of existing practical experience, improved their defense skills and capabilities, and further considered the academic frontier and reality. Hot issues have created a quality platform for sharing.
