The Opening Ceremony of the Fourth National Conditions Seminar for the Leader of the Hong Kong Charity Group, Peking University was Successfully Held

On the morning of April 29th, 2018, the opening ceremony of the Fourth National Conditions Seminar for the Leader of Hong Kong Charity Group, Peking University was successfully held at (Leo) Koguan Building, Law School, Peking University. Deputy Minister and Inspector of Department of New Territories, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Zhang Xiaoying, Honorary Monitor of the seminar, Chairman of the Hong Kong Goodwill Foundation Dong Wulingling, Seminar Leader, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Pok Oi Hospital Li Wufa, and Director of the Domestic Cooperation Office of Peking University Law School Shi Shi and all participants of the seminar attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Jia Weiwei, deputy director of the Domestic Cooperation Office of Peking University Law School.
At the opening ceremony, the students jointly watched the advertising video of Peking University Law School. Shi Shi made a speech on behalf of Law School. He expressed his warm welcome to the arrival of all the trainees and stated that the legal education of Peking University has its unique value in Chinese higher education and the development process of rule of law in China. Peking University Law School is confident of contributing to the country in all areas of comprehensively implement the rule of law, providing quality cooperation resources for all sectors of society, including students. Peking University Law School has maintained close ties with all walks of life in Hong Kong and hopes to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and friendly people from all walks of life in Hong Kong through this seminar.

Subsequently, the honorary monitor of this seminar Ms. Dong Wu Lingling and monitor Li Wufa made speeches as representatives of the students. They thanked Peking University Law School and the Hong Kong Liaison Office for their support for this workshop. They said that as representatives of the Hong Kong charity community, shouldering the heavy responsibility of carrying forward Chinese traditional culture, they will cherish this study opportunity, deepen the deep understanding of the situation of the country, and promote the deep cooperation and exchanges between Hong Kong and the Mainland under the "one country, two systems" framework.

Then, Deputy Minister and Inspector of Department of New Territories, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Zhang Xiaoying made a speech. He expressed his gratitude for the preparation and reception of Peking University Law School, and pointed out that under the background of the important historical opportunities for the country’s development to enter a new era, the practice of “one country, two systems” in Hong Kong has been elevated to a new and important height. Hong Kong has a strong momentum of development with the support of the Central Government. We should deepen our interconnection with the mainland and strive for greater progress. It is hoped that all students will abide by the rules and regulations of Peking University during the study period, maintain a good campus order, think hard, communicate positively, and really gain something.
