The Sixth Symposium of Intellectual Property Branch of Peking University Law School Alumni Association Was Held in Beijing

In April 22nd, it coincided with the 25th anniversary of the Intellectual Property Institute of the Peking University Law School. At the same time, as the 120th anniversary of Peking University was coming, the Sixth Academic Symposium of the intellectual property branch of the Alumni Association of the Peking University Law School was held in Beijing. More than a hundred university students from all over the country and experts and scholars in the field of intellectual property and theoretical circles are gathered together in Weiming Lakeside to discuss the hot topics in the field of intellectual property.

 

 

This event is sponsored by the Alumni Association of the Peking University Law School, the intellectual property branch of the Alumni Association of the Peking University Law School and the Intellectual Property School of the Peking University Law School. At the opening ceremony, Zhu Qichao, president of the Intellectual Property Branch of the Alumni Association of Peking University Law School, Yu Cike, director of the management division of the State Copyright Administration, Zhang Zhicheng, director of the Protection and Coordination Department of the State Intellectual Property Office, Zhang Shouwen, president of the Alumni Association of Peking University Law School and Dean of law school, delivered speeches respectively.

 

 

President Zhu Qichao said in his speech that the Sixth Academic Symposium was held at the 120th anniversary of Peking University and the World Intellectual Property Day was approaching. In this special context, the seminar was held in commemoration. Thank the Peking University’s alumni for their concern and support. This is the arrival of the alumni of Peking University Law School making the Peking University today more beautiful.

In his speech, director Yu Cike, first of all, expressed thanks to the training of Peking University and teachers; he pointed out that the strict protection of intellectual property rights should not only adapt to the basic national conditions, but also be embodied in the administrative law enforcement and the judicature, and the protection of intellectual property should also adhere to the moderate principle. Finally, director Yu CiKe priested for anniversary, and the development of intellectual property rights congratulations, and wish the conference a complete success.

Director Zhang Zhicheng said that, facing the new era, the new situation and the new requirements, the State Intellectual Property Office will strive to improve the intellectual property system in China from four aspects, such as the quality of the patent application, the strict protection of intellectual property rights, the comprehensive benefits of the use of intellectual property, and the promotion of the international rules and the inclusive and effective international rules. The establishment of a unified and orderly modern market competition system, and create a stable and open and transparent business environment to provide more powerful support.

Dean Zhang Shouwen reviewed the development of various careers and alumni work in the law school for many years. The one-day seminar set up “Special report on the training of talents in intellectual property and the trend of discipline development”, and the three parallel forums of "Hot and difficult problems in Patent Law", "Innovation of intellectual property trial field", and "Personal information and intellectual property protection in the era of artificial intelligence".
