Delegation from The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London Visits Peking University Law School

On September 16, 2025, a delegation from The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London visited Peking University Law School. The delegation was led by Prof. Christoph Kletzer, Deputy Dean for International Affairs and Professor at The Dickson Poon School of Law; A.P. Lerong Lu, Director of the LL.M. Programme in Law and Technology and Associate Professor; Caitlin English, Senior International Partnerships Manager; and Mr. Zhou Yuxiang, Attorney at Beijing Shanggong Law Firm.



They were warmly received by Dai Xin, Deputy Dean and Tenured A. P. of Peking University Law School; Prof. He Qisheng; and Wang Huawei, Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean.

Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including institutional collaboration, student development, and disciplinary advancement.

In his welcome remarks, Deputy Dean Dai Xin expressed his pleasure at hosting the KCL delegation. He noted that, in an era of flourishing legal scholarship, Peking University Law School has welcomed exchange students and visiting scholars from around the world, fostering mutual enrichment in legal education and research. He expressed his hope that this visit would mark the beginning of a strong partnership between Peking University Law School and The Dickson Poon School of Law, opening a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.

Prof. Christoph Kletzer remarked that, as China’s comprehensive national strength and global influence continue to grow, international demand for Chinese legal talent has reached an unprecedented level. He emphasized that The Dickson Poon School of Law should deepen collaboration with Peking University Law School across multiple dimensions—including articulation between undergraduate and postgraduate programs, short-term student exchanges, and scholar visits.

During the meeting, both sides explored concrete opportunities for cooperation in talent cultivation and academic research, and expressed shared anticipation for enhanced engagement and deeper institutional ties in the future.
