Vice President Guo Li expressed sincere greetings and welcome on behalf of Peking University Law School to the visiting guests, and introduced the development history of Peking University Law School and the condition of foreign cooperation and exchanges. Peking University Law School, as one of the most historic law schools in Chinese modern law education, is committed to cultivating international legal talents and actively promoting internationalization. It has established long-term and stable exchanges and cooperation with many famous universities in the world. At the same time, Vice President Guo Li brieflyintroduced the "Chinese law" LL.M. project of Peking University Law School, which is taught fullyin English. "China Law" LL.M. project officially opened in 2006. It focuses on Chinese civil and commercial law learning and attracted a number of outstanding international students and legal professionals to come for studyingeach year.
Dean YoshikiKurumisawa thanked for the warming treatment, and was delighted to learn that the LL.M. program of PKULS has been set up for 11 years. Waseda Law School will start the "modern Asian law" LL.M. project in April 2018, which is also taught fully in English. So they hope to learn some experiencein the future. Dean YoshikiKurumisawaintroduced the course system of Waseda University Law School and the condition of international cooperation.Waseda University has a very close exchange and cooperation with Peking University. It is hoped that this visit will serve as an opportunity to open up the communication of the two law schools. To explore cooperation between the two sides in the student exchange, degree programs, teachers and other aspects of the possibility of cooperation, and our hospital to establish long-term relationship.
In this regard, Vice President Guo Li expressed his agree and pointed out that both sides have the appropriate areas of academic exchanges and cooperation, whichis conducive to improving the level of Asian legal research and is a mutually beneficial and win-win start. He hopes that both sides can discuss more details of the exchangein the future.
