In order to conform to the trend of law, solve the problem in practical field, promote the guidance and promotion of legal theory to the practice of law, Peking University Law School opened the second new type of criminal defense business development training class following the first criminal defense class, which did research and discussed specially on the new development and new situation in the criminal defense business to create a high level communication platform for the learning and communication of criminal defense lawyers.

At 8:00 am on May 21, 2016, the opening ceremony of the second new type of criminal defense business development training class in Peking University was held successfully at the lecture hall of Koguan Building. China University of Political Science and Law, the first lesson teacher of training classes, Professor Fan Chongyi, Dean of Peking University Law School Zhang Shouwen, Peking University Law School Administrative Office Director, criminal defense training class headmaster NianYijia, attended the activity. Hundreds of criminal defense lawyers from around the country attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Yang Xiaolei, Vice-Dean of Peking University Law School.

First, Vice-Dean Yang Xiaolei introduced the guests and leaders.

Subsequently, Dean Zhang Shouwen delivered a speech. President Zhang Shouwen welcomed warmly to all participants. He pointed out that Peking University Law School focused on the various fields of society to cultivate the legal talents to adapt to the rapid development of society and the needs of law. He expressed the hope that participants would communicate deeply, learned from each other, and gained a lot in the five training days.

Xu Bin, old student representative of the training class of criminal defense and Director of Guangdong RuiHui law firm. Mrs. Xu reviewed and shared the experience of the first criminal defense training class. She said that the criminal defense training class was a new start of her legal work. She wished that the students in the second session of the training class will have more harvest.

Subsequently, Ling Yunzhi, new student representative of the criminal defense training class and Director of the Shandong Han Qiang law firm, made a speech. First of all, he expressed sincere thanks to law school. He pointed out that lawyers should constantly improve their own skills, in order to catch up with the tide of development in the rule of law. At last, he expressed his expectation to this training class.

The training class is the second training class of criminal defense held by Peking University Law School after the first training class achieved remarkable results last year. On the basis of successful experience, Peking University Law School aims at building a high-end platform for exchange of learning and education for the students to improve the comprehensive quality and the overall level of criminal defense personnel, adding power for the current process of building the rule of law in China.
