The 23rdBoya Public Law Forum Held Successfully

At 19:00, Oct12th, 2015, the 23rdBoya Public Law Forum was successfully held at Room 307,Koguan Building of PKULS. Taking “An Economic Analysis of the Freedom of Speech” as thetopic, Ian Lee, Professor of University of Toronto, gave a speech. Zhang Qianfan and Deng Feng, the Professors of PKU Law School, presented as guest speakers. Peng Chun, Post Doctorate of PKU Law School, was the host and translator of this forum. Nearly one hundred experts and students also participated in the forum.


First of all, Professor Ian Leedisplayed his latest research results about the functions of constitution in Canada.


During the discussion, Professor ZhangQianfan explained three levels of justification of constitutional rights from the economic perspective. Professor Deng Feng further explained the necessity of economic analysis.


The participants fully discussed the concerning questions about the theme. The Forum has been successfully held.
