Teacher and students representatives of PKULS visited the Supreme People's Court

On May 21th, 20-Member PKU law school students visited the Supreme People's Court. Vice Party Secretary of the Supreme People’s Court Zhang Yili, President of Youth Federation and President of Fourth Civil Tribunal Luo Dongchuan, Vice President of Youth Federation and Vice President of Environmental resources Tribunal Lin Wenxue, Vice President of Youth Federation and Secretary of Youth League committee Lian Danbo, member of the Youth Federation and President of Planning Department of Judicial reform Office He Fan, member of the Youth Federation, Vice Secretary of Youth League committee and judge of Fourth Civil Tribunal Ding Yu, member of the Youth Federation and judge of Third Civil Tribunal Qin Yuanming, member of the Youth Federation, member of Youth League committee and judge of Environmental resources Tribunal Ye Yang, member of the Youth Federation, member of Youth League committee and Secretary of Youth League committee of National Judges College Peng Shan attendant the exchange activities. Secretary of Youth League committee of PKULS and Director of Student Office Shi Shi also attendant the exchange activities.


As positive attempt of the depth open of the Supreme People's Court for college students, the event was hosted by  PKULS Graduate Student Union and supported by the Supreme People's Court, Youth League committee of the Supreme People's Court and the Youth Federation.

 

Teachers and Students first attended a hearing on civil retrial, controversy involving understanding and application  of the judicial practice of situation alteration principle. They also visited the Supreme Court information centralized control center, understood the basic functions of a people's Court for centralized data management platforms, watched the live demonstration of construction of the informatization.


After that, Teacher and student representatives, judges of the Supreme People's Court, and some members of the youth had a light-hearted discussion. Judges gave careful answers to questions proposed by the students, and shared with students their own journey as a career practitioner of the youth.


Teacher Shi Shi on behalf of PKULS was grateful to the Supreme People's Court attaches to the visits and careful arrangement. He said that strengthening interaction with the judicial sector was the the important carrier for law students to study and practice and Peking University Law School is committed to building effective platforms. He hoped to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism with the Supreme People's Court.
