On the afternoon of Mar, 20, 2015, Peking University Jones Day’s Globalization &Rule by Law Researching Center founded and chair professor employed ceremony was held successfully in academic hall of Koguan Building.Paul Gewirtz, professor of Yale Law School and chair professor of PKULS, Stephen Brogan, Managing Partner of Jones Day, Wu Zhipan, Professor and of Vice Dean of PKU,  Zhang Weiyin, Professor of PKU Guanghua School of Management,  Zhang Shouwen, Professor and Dean of PKULS,  Pan Jianfeng, Professor and Party Secretary of PKULS, the lawyer representative of Jones Day, Professor representative of Beijing Normal university Law School so on, and some  teachers and students of Peking University Law School attended the activity. Activity shall be presided over by Xixin Wang, vice President of the Peking University Law School.

First of all, Vice President Zhipan Wu and Dean Shouwen Zhang gave the welcome speech respectively. President Wu gave the warm congratulations on behalf of the school to the set up of Jones Day’s Globalization and the Rule by Law Research Center, Jones Day’s generous support to the development of the internationalization of Peking University law school and Peking University itself plays an important role. Dean Shouwen Zhang expressed the thanks to the Jones Day, leaders of the school and all works of life’s support for school, officially announced the foundation of Peking University Jones Day’s Globalization and the Rule by Law Research Center.

Stephen Brogan , Vice President  Zhipan Wu and Dean Shouwen Zhang all attend the Peking University Jones Day’s Globalization and Rule by Law Research Center of the ceremony. Vice President Zhipan Wu on behalf of the school awarded Jones Day "Peking University Education Outstanding Contribution Award".

Stephen Brogan subsequently presented a keynote entitled "international law firm's role in the era of globalization".

To set up the globalization and the chair professor about Rule by Law, is Jones Day’s another contribution to Peking University Law School. Peking University  Law School specially invied Paul Gewirtz Yale university professor as the first chair professors. Professor Paul Gewirtz presented a brilliant  speech with the theme "law as the foundation, the lawyer for the leader".

The foundation of Peking University Jones Day’s Globalization and Rule by Law Research Center means Peking University Law School has taken an important step in following the times and  international standard.
