On May 17, 2024, Volker Röben, Dean of the Faculty of Law and  Chen Lei, Chair Professor of International Arbitration and Chinese Law at Durham University, visited Peking University Law School. Dean of Peking University Law School Guo Li, Vice Dean Dai Xin and Assistant Dean and Director of External Affairs Office Li Yuanyuan warmly received the visitors.

On behalf of the School, Dean Guo Li warmly welcomed the visit of Dean Röben. He introduced the development and internationalization achievements of Peking University Law School in recent years and looked forward to substantive cooperation with Durham University Law School in student training and faculty exchanges.

Dean Volker Röben thanked Dean Guo Li and colleagues of Peking University Law School for their warm reception. He introduced the leading position of Durham Law School in the UK in the field of legal education and research. He is very concerned about and agrees with the international cultivation of legal talents in Peking University Law School and hopes to strengthen the cooperation and exchanges in the future by taking advantage of the strengths of the two institutions.

Subsequently, the two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on a number of cooperation areas, such as student exchanges, mutual visits of teachers, academic research.
