A Delegation from University of Bristol Law School Visited Peking University Law School

On the morning of October 31, 2023, Susanna Batten, Director of the International Cooperation Office at the University of Bristol Law School, and Shi Yi, Director of the China Representative Office at the University of Bristol, visited Peking University Law School. Dr. Li Yuanyuan, Assistant to the Dean of Peking University Law School and Director of the Office of Foreign Affairs, and Yao Yueming, a staff member of the Office of Foreign Affairs, received visiting guests. Both sides introduced the teaching and training models and recent development status of their respective universities, and focused on discussing cooperation matters such as student exchanges and teacher visits.

 

Director Li Yuanyuan warmly welcomes Ms. Susanna Batten and her delegation to visit on behalf of the college. She briefly introduced the international exchange situation of students at Peking University Law School in recent years, pointing out that participating in international exchange projects is very helpful for students to experience foreign legal culture and think about their future career plans. She hopes that the two academies will further deepen exchanges and promote cooperation in summer projects and Chinese law projects in the future.

Ms. Susanna Batten expressed great pleasure in visiting Peking University again. She fully agrees with the importance of cultivating international perspectives for students in the context of globalization, and hopes to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Peking University Law School, jointly exploring the possibility of conducting short-term exchange programs for students.

 

In addition, both sides had in-depth discussions on teacher visits, academic cooperation, and other aspects, and looked forward to exploring the establishment of cooperative exchange projects and platforms that adapt to the characteristics of the times and meet the needs of students based on the existing cooperative relationship.
