On the afternoon of April 4, the graduation ceremony of the third "Future Leader" class of The PKU Global Legal and Business Executive Program (hereinafter referred to as "GLBE") was held in the lecture hall of Kaiyuan Building, Peking University Law School. Guo Yi, Dean and Party Secretary of Peking University Law School, Yang Xiaolei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhao Peng, Founder, Chairman and CEO of BOSS Zhipin, and 16 alumnus of Peking University Law School, Yan Penghe, Chairman of the Management Committee of Beijing ZhongYin Law Firm and 1989 alumnus of Peking University Law School, and other leading guests attended the graduation ceremony. The graduation ceremony was presided over by Deputy Secretary Yang Xiaolei.

The past is unforgettable and warm. At the beginning of the ceremony, all the leading guests and the students watched the graduation video of the Future Leaders class and reviewed the learning process in the past three years.

Professor Guo Yi, Dean of Peking University Law School and Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a speech. He pointed out that today's world is experiencing continuous disruption and reconstruction, and we should not be trapped in the great changes and be confused, but should take the initiative to shoulder the responsibilities of the times and strive to become a leading talent facing the world and the future. He hoped that the students would inherit the mission and responsibility of Peking University Law School, continue the spirit of rule of law, and make due contributions to the development of the national rule of law, the reform of the global governance system, and the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

At the graduation certificate awarding ceremony, Dean Guo and Mr. Zhao Peng jointly presented graduation certificates and graduation souvenirs to the students.

Yan Penghe, Chairman of the Management Committee of Beijing ZhongYin Law Firm and a GLBE2018-level alumnus, delivered a speech on behalf of the alumni. He shared his original intention of "Seeking the Way" when he first participated in the Future Leaders Class, and understood the wisdom, courage and innovative spirit behind success through the Future Leaders class. He said that GLBE has created a community, and Peking University Law School has always paid attention to and accompanied the personal growth and development of members, and promoted members to become outstanding leaders who can lead people, take on missions, have a global vision and human brilliance.

Li Fang, managing partner of Beijing Tiantai Law Firm and a 2019 GLBE classmate, spoke as a representative of the graduates. She said that in the study of the "Future Leaders" class, she not only gained the innovation of thinking vision, the enrichment of cutting-edge knowledge and the improvement of management level, but also made many like-minded friends and learned Chinese traditional culture that will benefit her life. In the future, she will work with her classmates to continue to broaden the depth and breadth of learning, adhere to the transformation and innovation of learning achievements, maintain a positive attitude towards life, adhere to the spirit of inclusiveness, and strive to become an enlightened, inclusive and calm future leader.

Subsequently, Mr. Zhao Peng, Founder, Chairman and CEO of BOSS Zhipin, and alumnus of Peking University Law School Class of 1989, delivered a keynote speech with the theme of "In the face of many uncertainties, law is the only certainty". He analyzed the structure of talent demand in the current legal market, high-end legal talents, especially those with both legal background and business experience, are always scarce, and legal directors, chief compliance officers and other talents are always hard to find. He said that we are in a society full of high uncertainty, facing many challenges at the international and national, present and future. Whether as a legal director or a corporate CEO, the inside of the law and the outside of the law are two worlds, and when faced with countless uncertainties, it is certain that you must always ensure that you are inside the law. From the essence of business to the essence of law, Mr. Zhao Peng went beyond general thinking and deeply analyzed the combination of law and business.

Relying on the advantages of the platform, responding to the needs of the era of great changes and serving the national and global development strategies, Peking University Law School has created the "Future Leaders" course of Peking University's Global High-end Legal and Business Talent Program, which aims to gather intellectual resources and practical experience, break down the barriers between theory and practice, and strive to build a growth platform for high-end legal and business talents based in China and facing the world, so as to cultivate legal and business leaders who serve the future of China and mankind. Harmony between law and business, knowledge and action go far. With the successful conclusion of the third session, Peking University's Global High-end Legal and Business Talent Program has ushered in a new journey and a new starting point. This program will always take legal practice and business experience in the process of globalization as the basic dimension, continuously enrich and improve the future-oriented and far-sighted high-end curriculum system, focus on the real experience of social development and talent needs, and cultivate more innovative and responsible leaders in all fields of society.
