Congratulations!The Peking University team won the global runner-up in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition Global Round

In the early morning of April 16, 2023 Beijing time, the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition came to an end in the United States. After intense competition, the PKU team, composed mainly of law school teachers and students, stood out from 580 teams from 93 jurisdictions around the world and won the global runner-up in the 2023 Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition Global Round. The achievement not only refreshed the best result in the history of the PKU team in the event, but also created the history of the first Chinese team to advance to the Jessup International finals!
The PKU team was coached by Law School Assistant Professor Liao Xuexia and Law School alumnus Huang Yuxiang, and included Li Fuhan, Lu Yujin, Su Dongyu, Zhao Xingyi, students of Law School, Shan Weitong, student of Yuanpei College, and Zheng Huiwen, student of School of Foreign Languages. The team worked hard to prepare for the competition. They responded calmly with solid legal professional skills, excellent logical thinking ability, and skilled court argument skills, which fully demonstrated the elegance and strength of Peking University legal personnel and won honor for China.
The PKU team won the global runner-up of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition Global Round, which is a miniature of the excellent achievements of PKU Law School in cultivating international legal talents. In the future, Pku Law School will continue to open and cooperate with the world, bravely undertake the mission of global legal education, and make due contributions to the reform of the global governance system and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
