2022 National Key R&D Program "Social Governance and Smart Society Science and Technology Support" Project was successfully held

On December 22, 2022, the project "Research on cross-domain knowledge-driven intelligent perception and assisted decision-making technology for rule of law research" of the National Key R&D Program "Social Governance and Smart Society Science and Technology Support" was successfully launched and the implementation plan validation meeting was held online. The meeting was successfully held online. First of all, Prof. Guo Li, Secretary of the Party Committee of Peking University Law School, pointed out that the project of "Research on Intelligent Perception and Assisted Decision-making Technology for Rule of Law Research Driven by Cross-disciplinary Knowledge" is an action to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress and promote the 14th Five-Year Plan and the construction plan of Rule of Law China, and it is an effort to carry out organized scientific research and realize cross-disciplinary research. Chen Zhen, Director of the Department of Social Development of the Ministry of Science and Technology, expressed his congratulations on the launch of the project and also affirmed the great significance of the project. Zhang Xian, Director of China Agenda 21 Management Center, hoped that the team could keep close contact with the application demonstration unit and effectively promote the project implementation. Yao Xiongsen, Deputy Director of the Information Center of the Ministry of Justice, put forward specific requirements for the project leader, pointing out that the team should deeply understand the importance and necessity of the rule of law research, stand in the overall situation, find the right positioning of the project, and promote the construction of the rule of law state and government, and hope that the team will put forward the specific work plan of the application demonstration as soon as possible, so that the demonstration unit can coordinate the docking work.

Yang Xiaolei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Peking University School of Law and Vice President of Peking University Institute of Artificial Intelligence, presided over the speech of the leading guests and the appointment ceremony of 11 experts. Professor Xue Jingsheng was appointed as the head of the advisory expert group. Mr. Xue presided over the project implementation plan demonstration meeting, and on behalf of the consultant expert group, he expressed that he would do his best to advise the project team and help and supervise the project team to complete the research work on time.

The project leader, Professor Zhang Shouwen from Peking University Law School, reported on behalf of the project team on the research objectives, general ideas, task decomposition, results form and assessment index, technical route, schedule, organization and management, etc.; the person in charge of topic one, Associate Professor Dai Weidi (Tianjin University), the person in charge of topic two, Professor He Qisheng (Peking University), the person in charge of topic three, Professor Feng Yujun (Renmin University of China), the person in charge of topic four, Researcher Zong Chengqing (Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences), and the person in charge of topic five, Researcher Liu Yang (Peking University), reported on the decomposition of the research tasks and implementation plan of each topic respectively.
