On the morning of September 15, Lei Jianbin, Director of the Constitutional Law Division of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and his delegation came to the Law School for survey and communication. Pan Jianfeng, Dean of the Law School, and professors of constitutional law and administrative law Wang Lei, Chen Duanhong, Wang Xixin, Zhang Xiang, Peng Chun, Zuo Yilu, Yu Qi attended the discussion.

At the Forum, Dean Pan Jianfeng, on behalf of the School, expressed welcome to Director Lei Jianbin and his delegation for their visit, and introduced the basic situation of the Law School. Professor Wang Xixin made an introduction to the situation of the discipline of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law of  Peking University Law School, Professor Wang Lei introduced the teaching and research of Constitutional Law of Peking University and Professor Zhang Xiang made a report on the research of the projects entrusted by the Constitutional Law Division. Subsequently, the participating leaders and experts had a full discussion and exchanged views on further strengthening the research on constitutional theory. In the end, Dean Pan Jianfeng summed up the survey and research activities, and once again expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Constitutional Law Division of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for their visit and investigation.

Through this Conference, the participating leaders and experts had a full discussion on how to establish an exchange and cooperation mechanism. Both sides agreed that they would like to deepen cooperation with problems as the orientation, further strengthen the study and implementation of the Constitution. Director Lei Jianbin said that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the promulgation and implementation of the current Constitution. He hoped to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with researchers in universities and colleges, strengthen the theoretical research on the Constitution, and jointly promote the theoretical system and discourse system of the Constitution with Chinese characteristics.
