The Great Governance Forum: Global Internet Law Watch (2021-2022) was held grandly

At 9:00 a.m. on June 18, the Great Governance Forum: Global Internet Law Watch (2021-2022), jointly organized by Peking University Law School, Peking University Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Institute of Intellectual Property Development and China Legal Exchange Foundation, opened with a combination of online and offline sessions, with an online venue in Beijing and an offline venue in Guangzhou.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Wang Xixin, Professor of Peking University Law School and Executive Director of PKU Law & Development Academic. He expressed his warm welcome and sincere thanks to all the leaders and guests, and introduced the objective and significance of the Great Governance Forum, which is to focus on and explore the "great wisdom and order in the field of network governance", and to analyze and explore the hot issues in the field of Internet governance in the year.

At the opening ceremony, Gan Zangchun, Vice President of the China Law Society, You Xueyun, Deputy Director of the Network Rule of Law Bureau of Cyberspace Administration of China, Zhu Li, Vice President of the Intellectual Property Court of the Supreme People's Court of PRC, Zhang Daoyang, Deputy Director of the Department of Supervision and Management of Network Transactions of the State Administration of Market Regulation, Li Chishen, Vice President of the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court, and Zhong Zijian, Director of the Intellectual Property Office of the Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, delivered speeches expressing their vision of jointly exploring legal governance in the Internet field and expressing their congratulations on the grand convening of the Great Governance Forum.

After the opening ceremony, Zhang Ping, Professor of Peking University Law School and Executive Director of Peking University Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Institute of Intellectual Property Development, presented the "the Great Governance Report: Global Internet Law Watch (2021-2022)". She introduced in detail the history of the creation of the Great Governance Forum and gave a comprehensive account of the overall content of this year's the Great Governance Report. She said that the Internet will continue to develop in depth, and legal regulation will continue to uphold the principle of safe, orderly, and efficient development, and the Great Governance Report will continue to fulfill the goal of "rule of law, good governance, and great governance" for the Internet.

Afterwards, Zhang Shoufei, director of China Legal Exchange Foundation, hosted a keynote session in which four guests gave keynote speeches on the topics of anti-monopoly, market allocation reform of data elements, legal governance in the digital era, and legal intelligence.

In the afternoon of the same day, four sub-forums with the themes of "Digital Rules and Personal Information Protection", "Legal Governance of E-Commerce Platforms", "New Development of Anti-monopoly in Platform Economy" and "Open Source Legal Issues and Metaverse Development of Internet Platforms" were held simultaneously. The four sub-forums of "Internet platform open source legal issues and meta-universe development" were also held at the same time, and the speakers and commentators of each sub-forum made wonderful speeches and interactions around the theme. According to statistics, the maximum number of viewers exceeded 30,000 at the same time.
