In order to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on education, better practice Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, and implement the comprehensive strategy of ruling by law. On the morning of July 22, 2022, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Peking University Law School (hereinafter referred to as “PKULS”)and China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CPE”)was held in (Leo) Koguan Building. 

Che Honglin, Vice President of CPE; Chen Wenkai, Director of the Legal and Compliance Department of CPE; Guo Li, Party Secretary of PKULS; Yang Xiaolei, Vice Party Secretary of PKULS attended this event. The event was moderated by Mr. Shi Shi, Assistant Dean of PKULS.

In his speech, Guo Li pointed out that the cooperation between PKULS and CPE is timely and appropriate to promote the exchange between universities and enterprises, and to promote the organic combination of legal theory and practice of the rule of law. The cooperation is mainly focused on student employment internship, the rule of law training, wisdom legal service, etc., with the rule of law, industry, technology and innovation as the core, seeking a new mission, new concept and new model of common development. The signing marks a new journey for the cooperation between PKULS and CPE and will be a new starting point for joint development of both sides. It is hoped that the two sides will integrate school-enterprise cooperation, reach a consensus on deepening cooperation, and create a new model of school-enterprise cooperation.

Che Honglin, Vice President of CPE, pointed out in his speech that the cooperation marks a new stage of development. CPE will set up a special team, strengthen communication and docking, spare no efforts to promote the strategic cooperation such as high-end training, internship, teaching practice and the construction of a smart legal platform, accelerate the transformation of universities' scientific research achievements, and vigorously strengthen the rule of law in enterprises, so as to contribute to the implementation of the comprehensive rule-of-law strategy.

Subsequently, Yang Xiaolei, Vice Party Secretary of PKULS, and Chen Wenkai, Director of Legal & Compliance Department of CPE, signed a school-enterprise strategic cooperation agreement. 

After the signing of the agreement, the representatives of CPE and PKULS attending the meeting carried out further exchanges and discussions on specific matters of cooperation. Both sides indicated that they will take the opportunity of this signing to build a long-term and stable partnership, and to form synergy with each other, bring about new practice for the construction of the "Double First Class" in law science, and gather new wisdom for the reform and innovation of state-owned enterprises. The joint efforts of both sides will make the progressive forces more and more powerful.
