Since the implementation of the Civil Code, the understanding and correct application of its content has become the primary focus of legal workers. Peking University Law School has been committed to legal research work, in line with the implementation of new national laws and regulations. As early as May 2020, when the Civil Code was announced, Peking University Law School brought together its faculty to set up the "Advanced Seminar on Interpretation of Important Institutions in the Civil Code of Peking University"; After the introduction, Peking University Law School opened the "Advanced Seminar on Judicial Interpretation Supporting the Civil Code of Peking University" to interpret the supporting judicial interpretations one by one; Legal workers urgently need more detailed and in-depth interpretation of laws and regulations, as well as more accurate practical skills. In view of this, Peking University Law School, adhering to the school-running philosophy of professional theory as the body and judicial practice as the application, launched the "Peking University Civil Code Intensive Reading Advanced Seminar", which first gave a lecture on the marital property system, which was highly popular among students.

Compared with the Marriage Law and its supporting judicial interpretations, the Civil Code has made major changes in the marital property system. This senior seminar on intensive reading of the Civil Code focuses on the hot issues in the field of marriage and family since the implementation of the Civil Code, and selected four high-profile topics: the determination and repayment rules of joint debts of husband and wife, and the legal issues of parents' contribution to children's house purchase, The understanding and application of divorce housework compensation and economic assistance system, the theory and practice of husband and wife's shareholding and inheritance, in order to sort out legal relations, clarify legal concepts, and share practical experience.

This course has made new innovations and attempts in teacher allocation and teaching mode. "Multi-teacher Classroom" and "Keynote Speakers + Talking People" gathered at Peking University, expressing their opinions and exchanged ideas; It can be described as "theoretical combing as a foreshadowing, guiding cases as reference, trial practice as guidance, and operation of empirical problems". The course adopts an online teaching method, and students can study online anytime, anywhere, which meets the diverse requirements of the majority of students for learning space and time, and increases the convenience and flexibility of learning. At the same time, in order to enhance the interactivity of the online course and enhance the sense of experience, the course has specially set up the learning form of live broadcast + playback. During the live broadcast, students can interact with the teaching experts by asking questions, and they will be enlightened and gain a lot from the expert guidance. You can also review the course content through playback, "reviewing the old and learning the new".

During the course of this course, due to the sudden outbreak of the epidemic, the original teaching method was difficult to achieve. In order to ensure the continuity of students' learning and the high standard of course quality, Peking University Law School, on the premise of complying with the prevention and control policy, resolutely moved the classroom to the classroom. In the online conference room, the dual-channel live broadcast of "online conference room + magic weapon school" is adopted. Students can choose a more familiar and convenient learning method, which ensures barrier-free communication between teaching experts and students. The atmosphere of the course is active and enthusiastic. Unanimous praise from students.
