Peking University Social Law Forum "Several Issues of Labor Relations" Held Successfully

 

From 18:40 to 21:30 on March 7, 2022, the 69th lecture of Peking University Social Law Forum hosted by the Institute of Labor Law and Social Security Law of Peking University, “Several Issues of Labor Relations”, was successfully held at classroom 106 of the third teaching building of Peking University.

The lecture was presided over by Prof. Ye Jingyi, director of the Institute of Labor Law and Social Security Law of Peking University, and delivered by Nie Shengkui, director of the Department of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. This lecture is an integral part of the “Special Topic of Labor Law and Social Security Law” of the graduate course of Peking University Law School in the spring semester of 2022.

Director Nie Shengkui introduced some problems of labor relations involved in the study of labor law and social security law to the students from three aspects: “the proposition of labor relations of the Communist Party of China”, “the current challenges facing labor relations” and “the protection of workers in the new employment form”.

Prof. Ye Jingyi commented on this special lecture. She thanked Director Nie Shengkui for introducing some issues related to labor relations in China to the students from multiple dimensions in combination with his own research and work. She also spoke highly of the methods of research, observation and historical research embodied in the report, and hoped that the students could learn relevant academic methods and spirit.

At the end of the lecture, the students took a group photo with Director Nie Shengkui. Through this lecture, the students have a preliminary understanding of the historical development, era background and solution path of some problems of labor relations in China, deepened their understanding of the historical development and practical problems of labor relations.
