Peking University Seminar on Legal Risk Governance for Private Entrepreneurs (Phase V) Successfully Held

From July 30 to August 3, 2021, the Peking University Seminar on Legal Risk Governance for Private Entrepreneurs (Phase V) was successfully held at Peking University Law School. Nearly 60 private entrepreneurs from all over China attended the week-long special training.

 

 

On the morning of July 30, the class opening ceremony was held at the Moot Court  of Peking University Law School. Yang Xiaolei, Deputy Dean of Peking University Law School; Kong Jingyuan, President of Beijing Private Economic Development Promotion Association; Li Xiaowei, Executive President of Beijing Private Economic Development Promotion Association; and Song Xianliang, Vice President of Resident of Beijing Association for Promoting Private Economy attended the class opening ceremony, which was presided over by Du Xuejiao, Director of the Domestic Cooperation Office of Peking University Law School.

 

 

Yang Xiaolei, Vice Dean of Peking University Law School made the class opening speech. He said that the Peking University Private Entrepreneurs Legal Risk Management Seminar is a high-end training and social service brand, which has been held for five periods. Every link of the curriculum, teaching content and supporting service embodies the highest standards of the School of Law. Private economy represents the spirit of reform and opening up, and continuous learning is a very important driving force and ability. Students come to Law School to achieve cross-industry, cross-field docking between the School of Law and enterprises, exchange and learn from each other, hand in hand. I hope that through this study, you will come into contact with new knowledge, accept new ideas, and adapt to new needs.

 

 

Kong Jingyuan, President of Beijing Private Economic Development Promotion Association, made the class opening mobilization. On behalf of Beijing Private Economic Development Promotion Association, he extended congratulations on the successful opening of this training course and expressed heartfelt thanks to Peking University Law School. He shared his unique views with the students on the various legal problems encountered in the development of private enterprises and the difficulties and opportunities faced by private enterprises during the epidemic. He looked forward to enabling entrepreneurs to master the necessary legal knowledge and improve their legal awareness and ability to deal with legal risks through the study.

 

 

After 5 days of intense, substantial and enjoyable study, on the morning of August 3, this seminar ushered in the graduation ceremony. Guo Li, Party Secretary of Peking University Law School; Li Xiaowei, Executive Director of Beijing Private Economic Development Promotion Association; Song Xianliang, Vice President of Resident of Beijing Association for Promoting Private Economy; and Duan Xiaowen, Executive Secretary-General of Beijing Private Economic Development Promotion Association were present at the ceremony.

At the graduation ceremony, Zheng Dehou and Mei Dehui made their graduation speeches on behalf of the students. They said that the lectures of the instructors were enlightened and the friendship between the students shone brightly. Good teachers and comfortable teaching environment enabled all the students to spend a short and meaningful five days. They believe that all the students will take this as a new focus to improve the ability of enterprises to prevent and control the epidemic, maintain the healthy development of enterprises, and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.

 

 

 

In his speech, Professor Guo Li, Party Secretary of the College, congratulated all the students on their successful graduation. He expressed his feelings and admiration for the group of private entrepreneurs. Cognition is not easy, practice is more difficult; doing well is not easy, leading the team to do well is more difficult. He wishes all the students to encourage themselves, to improve their political position, to lead their enterprises to achieve better results, to integrate the concept of rule of law into the strategy of managing enterprises, and to escort the development of enterprises.

iversity Seminar on Legal Risk Management of Private Enterprises has been held five times so far. More than 300 entrepreneurs have entered Peking University as scheduled. I would like to thank all the teachers and service team for their contributions to the Seminar. The students' serious and pragmatic learning style and full of enthusiasm for learning are also encouraging. We hope that all the students will make proper use of the theoretical knowledge they have learned, cherish the friendship of classmates, and learn from each other's strong points to offset their weaknesses in the broader market.

 

 

The Peking University Seminar on Legal Risk Governance for Private Entrepreneurs has been held five times in a row, and the courses have been continuously optimized according to the actual needs. The course includes courses on the new development pattern of the country, business transformation in the digital age, and the development of the financial capital market, to help entrepreneurs understand the trend of market development. It also includes legal issues on optimizing the tax and business environment, risk operation and management of enterprises, legal risks and responses to intellectual property rights, rules for terminating contracts, protection of personal information in the era of e-commerce, new types of illegal fund-raising, and pyramid selling on the Internet, to help entrepreneurs clarify the risk points and improve their risk control awareness. At the same time, courses such as Sun Tzu's Art of War, Enterprise Strategy, and Guoxue Wisdom are also set up, so that entrepreneurs can draw wisdom from history and discern the general trend in development.

With the continuous self-study, self-education, and self-improvement of private entrepreneurs, we believe that in the future, private economy will be able to achieve greater development, and move towards a broader stage.
