The Law School organized the "Hello, Two Buildings and One College" group building activity for the 2021 undergraduate freshmen

On September 9, 2021, the Law School organized a group building activity for all 2021 undergraduate freshmen on the theme of "Hello, two buildings and one courtyard". As an important part of the orientation activities, the freshmen were divided into six groups and visited the Koguan Building, Chenming Building and the Courtyard under the guidance of part-time student counselors to get a comprehensive understanding of the college environment and the college culture.

In order to reflect the value pursuit of contemporary law students, the visit started with the "Law-Shaping" sculpture, which symbolizes the spirit of jurists. The new students listened carefully to the introduction of the counselor, understood the relationship between Xiezhi and the law, and deeply appreciated the inner meaning of "righteousness, brightness, and justice".

After entering the Mock Court, the long photo wall attracted the students' attention. The precious images such as the group portrait of the 1948 graduating class of the National Peking University Law Department and the group photo of the 1977 graduating class made the new students feel very emotional about the historical changes of the law school.

During the visit to the law library, the teacher explained to the students in detail the distribution of literature, the characteristics of the collection, the opening and closing hours, the precautions for entering and leaving the library, then answered their questions about the number of books borrowed and other specific matters.

After that, the new students went to the Courtyard. In the History Museum, the new students carefully visited the detailed introduction and important cultural relics of different historical periods of the law school, and gained a deeper understanding of the history of the school and felt the profound cultural heritage of the school.

The last stop of this new students' group activity was the Pillar of Law Square, which is an important part of the college culture. After the activity, each group of new students and counselors took a group photo at the Pillar of Law Square.
