Social practice activities of Comparative Civil and Commercial Law course in Law School was held smoothly

On April 29, 2021, Dean Kim Chen Kun, Director Park Tae Eun, Lee Jung Ran, Park Bo Eun and other teachers of the Korean Cultural Center in China visited the Peking University Law School, bringing a new practical course of cultural exchange to students.
Pan Jianfeng, Dean of the Law School, met with Kim Chen Kun and his party, accompanied by Min Yingmei, a course teacher. On behalf of the college, president Pan extended a warm welcome to president Kim. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on cultural exchanges between China and South Korea and mutual visits of legalexperts.
At one o'clock in the afternoon, the activity officially began. Dean Kim first introduced to the students the functions of the Korean Cultural Center—the spread of Korean culture and education to the outside world. After that, he gave a wonderful lecture on the difference between civilization and culture and expressed unique and profound insights. In the questioning session afterwards, Dean Kim shared his thoughts on the issues that the students were concerned about.
In the following traditional handicraft activities, the teacher of the Cultural Center brought Korean traditional paper lantern materials and carefully guide students to complete the production. Through manual practice, students had a more intuitive understanding of Korean culture and aesthetics.
Afterwards, Dean Kim and his entourage visited the Law Library of Peking University. Curator Chen Zhihong introduced the history and collection of the library to the guests.
This event increased the enthusiasm of the students participating in cultural exchanges between China and South Korea, promoted the connection between the Peking University Law School and the Korean Culture Center in China, and successfully achieved the expected results.
