Shao Hongwei (graduated in 1984), Vice President and Secretary-General of the PKU Suzhou Alumni Association, announced the constitution of the Legal Branch and the list of recommendations by the board of directors. In the warm applause, the newly-elected chairman Shangguan Piliang alumni made a statement. He said that PKU is a place that allows us to dream about our lives, and it is also an important label that alumni cannot escape for a lifetime. The deep feelings of PKU are the important foundation for the establishment of the Legal Branch of the Suzhou Alumni Association of PKU. He said that he will lead the council to actively perform its duties, liaise with alumni, and promote exchanges and cooperation, so that the Legal Branch will become a heart-warming home for the alumni of the PKULS in Suzhou.

Prof. Xue Jun, Vice Dean of PKULS, delivered a congratulatory speech. He expressed warm congratulations on the establishment of the Legal Branch of the Suzhou Alumni Association and introduced the development of the school in recent years. He said that talent training is the top priority of all work of PKULS. Alumni are important members of the law school and an important force in the construction and development of the law school. On behalf of the Suzhou branch, Chairman Shangguan Piliang presented the Embroidery Emblem to PKULS. This work was embroidered in half a month by an embroiderer from Zhenhu Town, the birthplace of the national “intangible heritage” Su Embroidery. He said This work represents the deep thoughts of the students at the Jiangsu for the PKULS. Deputy Dean Xue Jun said that he deeply felt the deep feelings of the alumni at Suzhou Law School for the school. 

 

 

Lecture

 

After the inauguration ceremony, the Suzhou legal branch also held an academic lecture. The lecture was presided over by the Chairman Shangguan Piliang. With the title of "Interpretation of the Civil Code and Financial-related Key Systems", Prof. Xue Jun shared the Civil Code with everyone. Prof. Xue Jun’s lectures closely follow the Civil Code, which is highly concerned by the public and legal circles. The content is closely related to the actual situation, which deeply attracted the attention of the alumni present. After the lecture, the alumni also asked Prof. Xue Jun to answer questions about the related issues in the lecture.The atmosphere was warm and relaxed.
