The Law School attaches great importance to this theme group day、group learning and group construction activity, seizes the opportunity of a hundred years, closely follows the theme of the activity, gives full play to professional characteristics, innovates the form of activities, and fully mobilizes and carefully guides the league branches to carry out various forms of learning, education and organizational construction activities.

On the evening of October 30, the Law School held a work deployment meeting on the theme of " Welcome the Party's 100th Anniversary, Make Dreams Newcomers—Tell the Youth Story to the Party ". Shi Shi, PKULS’s Assistant Dean and League Secretary, introduced the significance of the activity to all League Secretary vividly, requiring the League Secretary to unify thoughts and actions, give full play to the leading role of role models, truly sink into the branch league members, closely condense the youth of the party, and welcome the centennial of the founding of the party with excellent results. He called on all league branches to widely mobilize all students to carry out the theme of " Welcome the Party's 100th Anniversary, Make Dreams Newcomers—Tell the Youth Story to the Party " to truly realize the "branch enters the dormitory, preaches to the classroom, serves around, experience on the front line", and takes advantage of this activity to strengthen branch construction and further improves branch cohesion and centripetal force. Li Wanyu, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, made specific arrangements for the development of activities and introduced relevant safeguards and incentives in combination with the characteristics of the department and work realities.

 

 

From December 9th to 10th, the Law School held a League Secretary Review Council & exchange meeting on the theme of " Welcome the Party's 100th Anniversary, Make Dreams Newcomers—Tell the Youth Story to the Party ", providing a platform for all branches to share experience for carrying out this theme activities. The League Secretaries spoke one by one, shared the progress of the activity and the difficulties encountered, exchanged experiences, and summarized the shortcomings. Shi Shi, PKULS’s Assistant Dean and League Secretary, thanked all the League Secretaries, encouraging everyone to fully communicate, learn from each other, strive for excellence and pioneers, broaden working ideas and innovative forms of activities, create an atmosphere of "learning from each other's strengths and making common progress", so as to implement and give full play to the league day league learning and league construction activity. Subsequently, he made arrangements for the next stage of work. Cohesion of new positions for youth and full coverage of "five to five"

The dormitory is an important platform for youth organizations of League members to organization life, theoretical learning, communication and exchanging. It is an important position for grassroots league organizations to lead, serve and unite young people, also the "last kilometer" of ideological and political education for League members. Members of the league branches of the Law School unite and lead the backbone of the branch to effectively do a good job in "five to five", and move the study classroom, organization life, care action, communication space and labor stage to the dormitory, and approach every young man.

The league branches of the Law School use important time nodes such as holidays, final seasons and legal examinations to send organizational care and collective warmth to each student. The 3rd Regiment Branch of PKULS’s 2019 JM (Non-Law) regularly enters the dormitory to distribute masks and other epidemic prevention materials, publicizes common sense of epidemic prevention and control, and effectively guides the students of the branch to do a good job in personal hygiene, maintain good health, and help campus safety. The branch of the 1st Regiment of PKULS’s 2020 JM (Non-Law) combines the characteristics of the freshman branch, takes advantage of the opportunity to bring exquisite small gifts into the dormitory, sends warmth to each student, and communicates with the students in the branch, such as learning, life adaptation, psychological state and encourages students, enhances the friendship of branch classmates in a warm atmosphere, enhances the cohesion and sense of belonging of the branch. The branch of the 2nd Regiment of PKULS’s 2020 JM (Law) brought warm snacks into the dormitory during the critical period when the branch students were preparing for the law examination, communicated with the youth of the branch, and helped relieve the anxiety and psychological pressure of preparing for the examination.

 

 

Near the end of the year, there have been lots of fraud cases. The 4th League Branch of PKULS’s 2020 JM (Non-Law) distributed anti-fraud brochures to the dormitory over the weekend to introduce common fraud routines and countermeasures for branch students, and urged students to be vigilant and maintain the safety of their property.

 

 

On the occasion of the traditional winter solstice, the Law School held a joint "Warm Winter Solstice" activity of the three colleges. Students made dumplings and made Chinese knots together to express their good expectations and welcome the arrival of the New Year together. While promoting communication between the department, they also sent collective warmth and enhanced friendship to the students. The branch of the 3rd Regiment of PKULS’s 2018 JM (Non-Law) made exquisite small greeting cards to each branch student on the eve of the Double Festival, expressing good wishes and wishing each branch student a smooth job hunting and graduation.

The young people of the freshman League Branch are facing the problems of learning and life adaptation and psychological state adjustment. The 1st league branch of the 2020 undergraduate carried out academic planning and college life exchange meetings. Professor Dai Xin, the head teacher, and Mr. Qiao Kang, the second head teacher, respectively put forward expectations and guidance for the students' college study and life according to their own experience. The representative of the grade students teaches learning experience and answers questions about academic questions to help students integrate into Yanyuan's learning life as soon as possible and face the final season with a positive attitude. The league branches of the Law School regularly organize dormitories to carry out theoretical learning to effectively cultivate the patriotic spirit of young people in the new era. The 2020-level doctoral group branch of the Law School invited He Liqiong, the resident counselor, to carry out patriotic and patriotic party ideological education. He Liqiong and the youth of the branch read books such as Xi Jinping's Seven Years of Educated Youth, deeply understand the hard life and growth process of General Secretary Xi Jinping's educated youth, and guide the youth of the branch to unite more closely. The 2nd regiment branch of the 2019 undergraduate carried out the "CD-ROM action" to display the results of the "CD-ROM" through the WeChat official account to inspire and attract more students to reduce food waste with practical actions. The first regiment branch of the 2019 undergraduate of the Law School carried out the dormitory hygiene evaluation activity of "cleaning up like a new situation, sleeping like at home". Theoretical propaganda shows the style and presents a hundred years of mission

Combining the characteristics of the department, based on the advantages of disciplines, keeping up with current political hot spots and closely following ideological guidance, the Law School selects and strengthens the backbone of the league members, sets up two departments and carefully guides the league branches to set up branch propaganda groups, and carries out diverse content, novel forms, rich theories and deeply rooted in the hearts of the people with each branch throughout the college. The promulgation of the Civil Code marks a new milestone in China's socialist rule of law construction. Based on the new journey of comprehensively governing the country according to law, guided by Xi Jinping's thought of the rule of law, and under the leadership of the Party committee and the Youth League Committee, the Law School carefully recruited and selected the backbone of party members who understand theory, experience, can preach and innovate to form a civil code propaganda group, and has carried out collective course preparation, topic selection, content determination, revision of speech notes many times, and take advantage of the regular meeting of the Youth League Committee of the Law School and other opportunities to carry out propaganda activities, guide the youth of the Law School to devote themselves to the vivid practice of comprehensively governing the country according to law, and welcome the centennial of the founding of the Party with an excellent youth answer sheet.

On December 11, the Law school held a civil code propaganda activity of " Welcome the Party's 100th Anniversary, Make Dreams Newcomers—Tell the Youth Story to the Party " in 303 of Leo KoGuan Building. Shi Shi, the Assistant Dean of the Law School and Secretary of the League Committee, Li Wanyu, Executive Deputy Secretary of the League Committee, Zhou Lei and Li Chaofu, Deputy Secretaries, attended the event. Senior Master of the Law School served as keynote speakers, and all the backbones of League students participated in the event. With the theme of " Personality Protection", the speaker explained the civil code to the students in detail through vivid cases and funny language from three aspects: "the boundaries of face recognition technology", "when the right of reputation encounters cyber violence" and "personality interest protection across time and space". From November 16th to 17th, the Central Working Conference on Comprehensive Rule of Law clarified the guiding position of Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law in the comprehensive rule of law, and began a new journey of comprehensively governing the country according to law in the new era. The Law school vigorously organized Xi Jinping's seminar on the rule of law, guided young people to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's rule of law, strengthen the belief in the rule of law, gather the force of the rule of law, organically combine theoretical learning, practical exercise and quality development, and actively participate in the vivid practice of comprehensively governing the country according to law. On November 20, Shi Shi, the Assistant Dean of the Law School and Secretary of the League Committee gave a speech on the profound connotation and significance of Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law, and led the backbone of the League to collectively study 11 aspects of the General Secretary's requirements for the comprehensive rule of law. The backbone of the League studied the League School combined professional accumulation and work practice to carry out In-depth discussion and exchange, deeply realized that Xi Jinping's thought on the rule of law is rich in connotation, profound in discussion, strict in logic and complete in system. This year's COVID-19 epidemic is a big test of the governance ability and governance system of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The major strategic achievements in the fight against the epidemic have made all countries in the world witness the great superiority of the socialist governance system with Chinese characteristics. Based on the characteristics of the discipline, the four league branches of the 2018 undergraduates of the Law School jointly held a special seminar on "Institutional Thinking about Epidemic Prevention and Control" and invited Professor Dai Xin of the Law School to give a keynote lecture. Dai Xin provided students with a comprehensive perspective to understand the "epidemic prevention and control system" by comparing the different epidemic prevention measures and results of various countries, analyzing the media's reports and evaluation of epidemic prevention policies. In the comparison, the students deeply realized that the COVID-19 epidemic is a major challenge to the public health service system and national governance systems and capabilities of various countries. Guided by Xi Jinping's Thought on the Rule of Law, the Law School continues to organize student volunteers to participate in legal popularization activities, entering  many communities and streets around the school, such as Changchunyuan Community, Yanbeiyuan Community, Zhongguancun Zhizhao Street, etc., to carry out the Civil Code popularization activities of "Accompanying with the law and brightening a better life" to effectively help  people understand the Civil Code, apply the Civil Code, believe in the Civil Code, and show the mission and responsibility of Peking University legal persons in the practice of promoting the comprehensive rule of law. Volunteers closely combine the actual needs of community residents, with the help of vivid stories and realistic cases, and explain the legal issues related to daily life to the community residents in detail in an easy-to-understand, funny and humorous language style. In the interactive Q&A session, volunteers patiently listened to and carefully answered the legal problems encountered by residents in their lives, interpreted the law with cases and illustrated the law with examples, vividly introduced how the Civil Code, as an "encyclopedia of social life", will protect the basic rights of citizens. The Legal Aid Association makes full use of the important opportunity of December 4th Constitution Day to carry out a series of activities to publicize and volunteer services for legal popularization, give full play to professional advantages, popularize constitutional knowledge, carry forward the spirit of the Constitution, practice the journey of serving the country in a comprehensive rule of law, and show youthful demeanor in the publicity and voluntary service of law popularization. In the triangle on the north side of the New Sun, volunteers distributed the carefully prepared "National Constitution Day" legal popularization brochure and legal aid boutique case compilation and other publicity materials to teachers and students. The obscure laws became vivid under the explanation of the volunteers. In Midu County, Yunnan Province, the counterpart of Peking University, which has just taken off its hat to support poverty alleviation and development, volunteers from the Legal Aid Association held a lecture on the propaganda of constitutional and legal knowledge for teachers and students of the school in Midu No. 1 Middle School. The Law School Youth Volunteer Association organizes a number of young volunteers to carry out a variety of voluntary services on campus, and contributes to the health and convenience of teachers and students with bits of action to help the construction of a safe and healthy campus: recruit a number of canteen epidemic prevention volunteers, guide teachers and students to wear masks around the canteen, and eat in an orderly manner; organize volunteers to sort out books in the law library to facilitate teachers and students to borrow books; carry out bicycle sorting activities near Leo KoGuan Building to guide teachers and students to park bicycles correctly and jointly build a clean and orderly campus.

 

 

The league branches of the Law School actively responded to the call for the patriotic health campaign, actively carried out voluntary service activities for health and epidemic prevention in the school, guided students to develop civilized and healthy living habits, practice a green and environmentally friendly lifestyle, and consciously help the construction of the campus health environment with personal hygiene consciousness. Members of the 2020 doctoral league branch of the Law School jointly maintain a healthy and civilized environment with practical actions: members of the branch prepare gifts to comfort the property personnel and help them jointly guard the campus security line; clean and disinfect several corridors and windows of Chen Ming Building to create a clean work and learning atmosphere for Law School teachers and students.; in order to meet the school's autumn and winter infectious disease prevention requirements, branch members cleaned and reorganized the original hand sanitizer in Building 2, Changchun New Park, purchased and replaced empty bottles of hand sanitizer; further publicized the transmission and prevention methods of norovirus to students, and actively replaced the damaged special hygiene area standard. The 4th regiment branch of the 2019 Master of Laws (Non-Law) of Law School also organized the students of the branch to carry out garbage classification volunteer activities in Wanliu Campus, contributing to the construction of campus health and civilization. The students of the branch jointly studied the garbage classification quart method of the new version of the Beijing Municipal Regulations on the Management of Domestic Waste, publicized the concept of garbage classification to students, introduced the knowledge of garbage classification, guided the students who come to put garbage to classify garbage, and sorted garbage that cannot be delivered correctly.

The 3rd branch of the 2019 Master of Laws (Non-Law) carried out the activity of "touring Orson and practicing environmental protection", carried out environmental protection volunteer services in Olympic Forest Park, picked up garbage during the collective autumn outing, publicized garbage classification tips, realized the spirit of public welfare in little things, and exercised while volunteering.
