On the evening of March 14, 2021, Law School movie-watching activity of the 33rd CPC Knowledge Training Class in PKU was held in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of (Leo)KoGuan Building.

History is the best textbook. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that it is necessary to educate and guide the whole party to vigorously carry forward the red tradition, inherit the red gene, maintain the spirit and blood of the communists, always maintain the fearless spirit of the revolutionaries, and inspire the spirit of marching into a new journey and a new era. As an important part of the CPC History Learning Education, the party committee of Law School organized the members of the 33rd CPC Knowledge Training Class in PKU to watch the Anti-Japanese War movie "Tunnel War" collectively, guiding the students to learn more about the history of fighting against foreign aggression despite wind and rain during the Anti-Japanese War, and to understand the great struggle history of CPC in leading the people to cleave their way through hardships and difficulties more intuitively.

On the occasion of the centenary of the founding of CPC, revisiting the well-known classic Anti-Japanese War movie "Tunnel War" is even more unique. In the movie, in the face of the cunning and brutal invaders, the people of Gaojiazhuang, led by captain Gao Chuanbao, rose up to resist, defend their homes and defend the country. They used their wisdom to deal with the enemy, and interpreted with their heroic deeds the national integrity of taking death calmly and preferring death to surrender and the patriotic feelings that every single person is responsible for the rise and fall of the world. The heroic spirit, indomitable and unyielding belief in victory and revolutionary optimism of the people in Central Hebei Province who are not afraid of violence and willing to fight to the bitter end have deeply impressed the students.

The foundation of the party lies in the people, the blood lies in the people, and the strength lies in the people. As a great people's war, the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan cannot be achieved without the close unity and effective mobilization of the people by the Communist Party of China, and the unity spirit of the Chinese people's cadres and masses to unite, fight in concert, and work together to tackle tough issues. Looking at the spirit of CPC and the path of China from the CPC history, the students have strengthened their original intention to move closer to the CPC organization, deepened their understanding of the connotation of the party spirit, learned valuable historical experience and gained powerful motivation to forge ahead through this movie-watching activity.
