The 33rd Peking University Corporate Legal Risk Forum was held successfully

At 18:40 on November 6, 2020, the 33rd Peking University Corporate Legal Risk Forum,sponsored by Peking University China Corporate Legal Risk Management Research Center, was held successfully in Room 420, Second Teaching Building, Peking University.
The forum was chaired by professor Jiang Daxing, director of Peking University China Enterprise Legal Risk Management Research Center and professor of Law School of Peking University. Graduate students and doctoral students from all majors of Law School participated in this forum.
The forum invited Ms. Zhao Feng, a senior lawyer of Jingtian & Gongcheng Law Firm and the 2018 "Top 30 Chinese Lawyers", to deliver a speech about "common methods and liability consequences of financial fraud in listed companies".
The speech was divided into four parts. In the first part, Ms. Zhao summarized the situation of China's key crackdown on financial fraud and introduced the punishment of financial fraud in the past few years. In the second part, after listing a few financial fraud motives of listed companies, Ms. Zhao explained how to identify financial fraud problems in practice. In the third part, she introduced the subjects responsible for financial fraud and their civil liabilities, criminal liabilities, and administrative liabilities. In the fourth part, Ms. Zhao focused on the relevant issues of civil compensation for misrepresentation, and thoroughly discussed the situation of our country's securities misrepresentation litigation from four perspectives: basic situation, procedural points, substantive difficulties, and development trends.
Finally, Peking University China Enterprise Legal Risk Management Research Center presented a certificate of appreciation to Ms. Zhao. Amid the applause of the teachers and students present, the forum ended successfully.
