Professor Che Hao and Professor Guo Li of Law School won the Ninth National Outstanding Young Jurists and Nomination Award

According to the official website of china law society, the winners of the Ninth National Outstanding Young Jurists and the Ninth National Outstanding Young Jurists Nomination Award were selected by the Ninth National Outstanding Young Jurists Final Evaluation Committee on November 4th, 2020. Professor Che Hao of Peking University Law School won the Ninth National Outstanding Young Jurist, and Professor Guo Li won the Ninth National Outstanding Young Jurist Nomination Award.

Since China Law Society hosted the "Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists in China" in 1995, it has been held for nine times. The selection activities adhere to the principles of openness, fairness and justice. By comprehensively considering the candidates' academic achievements, academic influence, social reputation and their contributions to legal education, legal publicity and legal practice, a large number of legal workers with outstanding academic achievements and significant social contributions have emerged. Previously, Professor Chen Xingliang (second), Professor Zhang Shouwen (third), Professor Chen Ruihua (fourth) and Professor Wang Xixin (sixth) of Peking University Law School were awarded "Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists in China", Professor Liu Yan, Professor Fu Yulin (sixth), Professor Shen Kui (seventh) and Professor Jiang Daxing (eighth) were awarded Nomination Award of "Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists in China". In addition, Professor He Qisheng and Professor Zhang Xiang, who are currently working at Peking University Law School, were also awarded the "Eighth National Top Ten Outstanding Young Jurists".

Professor Che Hao, born in December 1977, is a member of the Communist Party of China, Vice Dean and professor of Peking University Law School, and deputy editor of Chinese and Foreign Law. Distinguished professor of "Changjiang Scholar Award Program" of the Ministry of Education, top-notch young talents of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program", and Boya young scholars of Peking University.

His research direction is criminal law. He has published dozens of papers, among which 9 are Chinese Law and Legal Research. Published works such as "The Structure of Class Crime Theory" and "Local Shaping of Criminal Law Doctrine". He has undertaken many projects such as the National Social Science Fund and won many awards such as the Scientific Research Award of the Ministry of Education. Promote the launch of "National Young Criminal Law Scholars Practice Forum/Online Lecture", "Blue Library" and other academic activities. Adopt appraisal case teaching, create the course "Criminal Law Case Study", and be selected into the first batch of "National First-Class Undergraduate Courses". Take practical teaching with two teachers in the same room and create the course of Criminal Defense Practice. Reform the examination form and idea, and publish " Che Hao’s Criminal Law Topics ". He was awarded Beijing Excellent Teacher, Beijing Young Teacher, Baogang Excellent Teacher Award, etc. Promote the reform of the teaching supply side of Peking University Law School, and carry out activities such as "Lecture Series of Law Ladder" and "National Law Education Teacher Training Class/High-end Forum". Promote the establishment of Peking University-Hong Kong University law double undergraduate program. In view of the focus of the rule of law and influential cases, he has made professional interpretations on CCTV, China Law Review and other media for many times, and published many articles with plus 100,000 page views. During the pneumonia epidemic in COVID-19, he participated in the meeting of the National Health and Health Commission, provided legal advice against the epidemic, and fulfilled the social responsibility of scholars. He is appointed Deputy Director of the First Procuratorate Office of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and Deputy Procurator-General of Chaoyang District People's Procuratorate of Beijing. For a long time, it provides theoretical support such as policy argumentation, case consultation, lectures, etc.

 

 

Professor Guo Li, born in August 1975, is a member of the Communist Party of China, Party Secretary, Vice Dean, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Peking University Law School. He was selected as a young scholar in the Changjiang Scholar Award Program of the Ministry of Education, a Humboldt Scholar in Germany, a researcher at the Asian Center for International Financial Law (AIIFL), a doctor of law, and a postdoctoral fellow in applied economics. He is currently the Vice President of China Law Society Banking Law Research Association, Executive Director of China Law Society Economic Law Research Association and Securities Law Research Association, Executive Director of China Association for Labor Studies, Expert Member of State Supervision Commission, China Securities Regulatory Commission, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Fund Industry Association, Chinese Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, etc. He has been a guest teacher at Cornell University, Duke University, Sydney University and other universities.

He is mainly engaged in the teaching research of economic law, comparative law and related interdisciplinary subjects, and has published many Chinese and English monographs at home and abroad, and published more than 50 Chinese and English papers in SSCI and CSSCI core journals. He is the editor-in-chief of Peking University Law Journal and serves as the editorial board of securities market herald, Securities Law Court and Asian Journal of Comparative Law. He won the Outstanding Achievement Award of Chinese Law, the Outstanding Achievement Award of Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences, Dong Biwu Youth Law Achievement Award, An Zijie Award, etc. Contribute to the achievements of think tanks for comprehensively promoting the rule of law, and play an important role in the legal construction of capital markets. Put forward innovative theories such as "public-private collaboration in securities enforcement", and participate in expanding "legal theory of finance". Relevant work has improved the level of combining theory and practice in the field of financial law, and many legislative and judicial policy suggestions have been adopted. He devoted himself to teaching, founded the "LL.M Project of Chinese Law" of Peking University, studied and summarized the laws of education, led the teaching reform, and won the title of Beijing Excellent Teacher, Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award and China Legal Education Research Achievement Award.
