On the afternoon of October 14, 2020, the regular meeting of the part-time counselor in the fall semester in 2020-2021 of the School of Law was successfully held in Conference Room 303, Kaiyuan Building. Youth League Secretary Shi Shi, also the Director of the Student Affairs Office, full-time counselors Zhang Runzhi and Zhang Jianing, and all student part-time counselors of the School of Law attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by full-time counselor Zhang Runzhi.

At the beginning of the meeting, teacher Shi Shi welcomed all student part-time counselors on behalf of the School of Law, and made overall arrangements for the work of student part-time counselors. He emphasized that the student part-time counselors are of great significance to the student work of the faculty, who represent as the important bridge for communication between the faculty and the class, in particular in guiding the Ideological Education. He added, the student part-time counselors should meet new changes and new challenges under the new normal of epidemic prevention and control and avoid falling into the limitations of empiricism. Teacher Shi Shi encouraged the student part-time counselors to participate in the student work of the faculty more deeply, and promote continuous innovation and progress in the student work of law school while improving themselves.

Later, teacher Zhang Runzhi introduced the daily work of student part-time counselors, and suggested that student part-time counselors should care about classmates in terms of academics, life and psychology, and assist the head teacher in various class management affairs. She also emphasized the importance of confidential work. Teacher Zhang Jianing made arrangements for the epidemic prevention and control work under the new normal of it, reminding everyone to do a good job of information screening, uploading, distributing and encouraging student part-time counselors to work hard and experience the rewards.

Previous excellent student part-time counselors Wang Xu and Nie Qingyu gave speeches concerning their previous experience and put forward suggestions on how to work efficiently, how to improve self-abilities, how to communicate better and how to deal with problems.

At the end of the meeting, student part-time counselors introduced themselves and discussed how to do well in employment counseling and psychological counseling for postgraduate and undergraduate students.

This meeting was an important part of the deployment of student work under the new normal of epidemic prevention and control in the School of Law. It pointed out the direction for the work of student part-time counselors in the new semester and helped the student part-time counselors to clarify their responsibilities, take the initiative to act, and play a core role in leading class work and student work affairs of School of Law. This meeting laid a solid foundation for thoroughly implementing the spirit of the National Conference on Ideological and Political Work in Colleges and Universities and building an efficient work mechanism under the new normal of epidemic prevention and control.
