Vice Director Wang Dong of the Office of Humanities and Social Sciences and His Party Investigated Law School’s Think-tank Work

On the morning of October 15th, Vice Director Wang Dong of the Office of Humanities and Social Sciences and his party went to the Law School to investigate the think-tank work. Xue Jun, Vice Dean of the Law School, teacher representatives Sun Dongdong, Chen Duanhong, Xiao Jiangping, Ling Bin and other teachers from PKULS’s Scientific Research Office attended the investigation meeting.

In the meeting, Prof. Xue Jun introduced the basic situation of PKULS’s long think-tank work, especially contributions of Law School teachers during the Covid-19 outbreak. Vice Director Wang Dong conveyed the school’s guidance on think-tank work, introduced the latest progress of the think-tank of the Office of Humanities and Social Sciences and fully affirmed the outstanding contribution of Law School to PKU’s think-tank. The participating scholars made a deep discussion on how to better promote the work of university think-tanks from academic evaluation, talent team building and incentive mechanism. Finally, Vice Director Wang Dong expressed his gratitude to the teachers of Law School for their valuable suggestions and for Law School’s meticulous preparation. He also deemed that the grass-roots survey had further clarified the direction of the Office of Humanities and Social Sciences to improve the construction of PKU’s think-tank work.
