On the evening of August 4th, the pre-departure mobilization meeting & safety briefing meeting of PKULS’s Ideological and Political Practice Course offline team held successfully. Guo Li, Party Secretary of the Law School, Lu Jiangnan, Vice Party Secretary of the Law School, Shi Shi, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Li Wanyu, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Lu Kuan, the teacher from College of Marxism, Fu Chengyu and Zhang Dongxiao, the teacher of PKULS’s Ideological and Political Practice Course offline team, as well as teaching assistants and elective students from four teams attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Li Wanyu.

Firstly, Prof. Guo Li, Party Secretary of the Law School, made an opening speech. He explained the importance of the Ideological and Political Practice Courses to the students and raised his ardent expectations. He pointed out the difficulty in conducting offline practice under the situation of regular epidemic prevention and hoped students cherish this rare opportunity to gain something from a wealth of practice courses.

Lu Kuan, the teacher from College of Marxism, explained the setting-up background and original intention of PKU’s Ideological and Political Practice Course to students and encouraged them to treat this practice as an essential chance to understand national conditions and society.

Zhou Lei, PKULS’s 2018 doctoral student and the teaching assistant representative, explained course requirements and conducted safety education for students. He stressed out the safety matters and reminded students to comply with epidemic prevention requirements actively and reinforce self-protection.

Han Zheng, PKULS’s 2018 undergraduate and the Excellent Student Representative of Ideological and Political Practice Course 2019, shared his perception and growth from his participation in PKULS’s “Youth Confession to the Motherland” practice group in Shenzhen. He urged students to participate wholeheartedly and help each other to gain rich harvest.

Ultimately, Shi Shi, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, made the mobilization speech and sent his good blessings to students.

The Ideological and Political Practice Course is a link between learned knowledge and social practice and a bridge for college students to step into society. After the meeting, the team will advance the work orderly in accordance with the relevant arrangements of the school, and lead the students to understand our country with a youthful heart, to think in practice, to clear responsibility in action.
