Peking University Law School and Wuhan University Law School jointly held the online academic salon on "The Boundary between Public Safety and Personal Information Protection during the Coronavirus"

In order to learn and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's letter of reply, and to inspire the young students to strengthen their confidence in the fight against coronavirus, and bravely shoulder the heavy burden, on the afternoon of March 29, Peking University Law School and Wuhan University Law School jointly held an academic salon. Ran Keping, professor of Wuhan University Law School, and Gao Wei, associate professor of Peking University Law School, acted as commenting guests, and participated in the event together with student representatives of the two law schools.

Afterwards, the online academic salon was launched in the form of "viewpoint presentation + roundtable discussion". Participants focused on the topic of "the boundary between public safety and personal information protection during the coronavirus", interpreting actual cases from a professional perspective, and from different perspectives in the field of law thoughts on the balance between public safety and personal information protection during the epidemic were shared. Ran Keping and Gao Wei conducted in-depth analysis and comments on the speeches of the students. They affirmed that the discussion of this topic under the epidemic has far-reaching significance, which is helpful to broaden the cognitive boundaries of students and encourage students to use their professional expertise and the combination of social practice provides suggestions for China's data application processing.
