PKULS-Fangchenggang City’s comprehensive ability improvement seminar was successfully held

On the morning of December 14, 2019, the opening ceremony of the “PKULS-Fangchenggang Party and Government Office System’s Comprehensive Capability Enhancement Special Training Course (Second Phase)” was successfully held in the lecture hall of (Leo) Koguan Buildin. Bai Shuyi, member of the Standing Committee of the Fangchenggang’s Committee and director of the office, Lu Jiangnan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the PKULS, and nearly 60 party and government office system officials from Fangchenggang attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Jia Weiwei, deputy director of the Office of Domestic Cooperation os PKULS.
Deputy Secretary Lu Jiangnan extended a warm welcome to the participants of the seminar on behalf of the law school. He said that the students came to the cold Yanyuan from the warm southern country. The comparison of the physical climate highlighted the enthusiasm of the party and government cadres in Fangchenggang. He pointed out that the PKULS has long focused on combining talent training, academic research and social services. In the new era, party and government cadres need to improve their overall competence from the overall and strategic perspective of administering the country in accordance with the law. This seminar, which is a cooperation between the two parties, is an innovative domestic cooperation project of the law school. It strives to combine the theory and practice to achieve the complementary effect of knowledge production and administration according to law, providing new growth space for both parties. He hopes that all students will gain knowledge, improve their ideology, and enjoy themselves spiritually, and live up to the week in Yanyuan.
Bai Shuyi, member of the Standing Committee of Fangchenggang’s Committee and director of the office, mobilized to start the class. He proposed three points to all the students in this seminar. The full support of leaders at all levels; the second is to cherish cherishment, to cherish learning opportunities, to cherish Peking University resources, to go out and see the world, to be good at teaching with famous teachers, and to make progress with the times; third, to comply with discipline, punctuality, respect for teachers, requirements All students consciously maintain a good image of party and government officials in the port area. In the end, Director Bai cited the famous works of Peking University alumni Haizi, a famous poet, to encourage everyone to translate the knowledge and skills gained from this training into productivity and positive energy.
This seminar has been carefully designed and arranged in terms of curriculum setting, teaching content, and staffing, and is taught by many experts and scholars inside and outside PKULS, School of International Relations, School of Economics, and inside and outside the school. The teaching content covers party building and China's political development, social transformation and China’s rule of law, 2019 economic situation and seven major tasks of China's economic development, new trends in world politics, China-US trade war and China-US relations. Peking University Law School organizes students to visit the National Museum for on-site teaching of Chinese history and development. The teaching content is rich and novel, and the perfect combination of theory and practice will help students improve their knowledge system, expand their thinking field, and improve their business level.
The “PKULS-Fangchenggang’s Party and Government Office System Cadre Comprehensive Capability Enhancement Seminar” is the second cooperation between PKULS and Fangchenggang ‘s Party and Government System after the success of the first seminar It is a continuous and systematic extension of bilateral cooperation. The law school attaches great importance to it, and aspects such as staffing and curriculum settings have been fully optimized on the basis of the first period.
