At 7:00 pm on December 7, the Peking University’s 2019 Freshman Philharmonic Program and the 84th Anniversary of the “12·9” Campaign and the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China were successfully held in the Centennial Lecture Hall. After nearly two months of rehearsal and careful preparation, the teachers and students of the law school performed well on the spot, and performed two songs, “Dedication” and “Don't Forget Your Original Heart”. 

“Dedication” was a song sung by Su Rui more than 20 years ago, and later re-sang by Han Han as the ending song of the movie “Flying Life”. The lyrics use anthropomorphic colors to describe the interdependent things in the form of “dedication” in life and nature. In the melodious music of the piano, the teachers and students of the law school repeatedly sang “What do I dedicate to you”, expressing the attachment and gratitude to the good life. The melodious and soothing melody and emotional interpretations touched the hearts of the audience, and a dedicated enthusiasm warmed the winter night.

“Don't Forget Your Original Heart” is a newly composed red song in recent years. The lyrics tell the story of the Chinese Communist Party’s birth to development in a symbolic way. “A thousand miles and thousands of mountains don’t forget the time to come“”, the four voices perfectly cooperate and complement each other. With the magnificent accompaniment of piano, violin and cello, the teachers and students of law school express the emotional dependence of the party with the blood of the people with beautiful and exciting singing. It was incisive and vivid, which explained the strong recognition and strong family feelings of Peking University for the party not forgetting its original intention to seek happiness for the Chinese people and for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
