Peking University Law School Signs Cooperation Agreement with University of Bristol Law School

On the morning of November 19, 2019, Prof. Ken Oliphant, Dean of the University of Bristol Law School, and Ms. Susanna Batten from the International Cooperation Office of the University of Bristol visited our school. Prof. Jianfeng Pan, Dean of PKULS, Prof. Guo Li, Secretary of the Party Committee, Dr. Yuanyuan Li, Assistant Dean and Director of the External Affairs Office, welcomed the two guests in the conference room 305 of (Leo)Kaiyuan Building. The two sides had in-depth and sincere talks on how to carry out all-round cooperation, and signed a memorandum of cooperation.
First of all, Prof. Pan Jianfeng extended a warm welcome to the visitors on behalf of the PKULS. He said that in recent years, the PKULS has been committed to cooperating with world-renowned law schools, and has continued to explore student exchanges, faculty exchanges, and bilingual courses. Dean Ken Oliphant is deeply impressed by this. As the Dean of the University of Bristol Law School, he has attached great importance to the internationalization of the college and hopes to establish partnerships with top law schools including the PKULS.
Dean Ken Oliphant mentioned that the research team of the University of Bristol Law School is strong and enjoys a high academic reputation in the UK. At the same time, the college also attaches great importance to the quality of teaching and continuously optimizes the teacher-student ratio. The quality of the courses has been widely recognized by students. Prof. Pan Jianfeng and Prof. Guo Li introduced in detail the efforts and achievements of PKULS in the areas of teacher training and student teaching in recent years. Later, the two sides exchanged views on specific cooperation issues such as doctoral student visits and young teachers' mutual visits.
Finally, Dean Pan Jianfeng and Dean Ken Oliphant signed a memorandum of cooperation. The signing of this agreement marks the beginning of close cooperation between PKULS and Bristol Law School.
