On the morning of September 25, 2019, members of the Central Organizational Group was warmly welcomed to investigate and guide the “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind” thematic education (“the Thematic Education”) of Peking University Law School (“PKULS”) with the company of PKULS party representatives. Prof. Pan Jianfeng, the Dean of PKULS, Prof. Guo Li, the Party Secretary of PKULS, Ms. Piao Wendan and Mr. Lu Jiangnan, Vice Party Secretaries of PKULS, participated in the investigatory conference.

In the conference, Prof. Guo Li reported the teaching progress since the commencement of the Thematic Education on behalf of PKULS Party. He remarked that great attention has been input to it: leading groups and working panels were set up, specific schemes for thematic education were also formulated in the meantime. Manpower was fully mobilized to learn theoretical knowledge through sharing interweaved with teaching, research and development. The Party (Staff) Branch and the Party (Student) Branch had made used of their working or studying style to bring knowledge into practice in relation to news evolving from the celebration of the 70^th anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. Prof. Pan Jianfeng introduced the ideas and features of the Thematic Education. He pointed out that the PKULS value the role the Thematic Education played in guiding real life practice. Subsequently, Ms. Piao Wendan and Mr. Lu Jiangnan reported the development of the Thematic Education in their respective fields.

While the Organizational Group spoke highly of the progress in the thematic teaching work of PKUSL Party committee, they also emphasized the necessity to set a higher target, to play a role as fight fortress as the root of the Party, to nurture “rule of law” elites and to accomplish ideological-related education. The Party committee will improve its Thematic Education in accordance with the Organizational Group’s advice in light of the motto— “Keep original aspiration, shoulder the mission, find the gap and implement it.
