On March 30, 2026, Prof. Christoph Kern of the Faculty of Law at Heidelberg University, Germany, delivered a lecture entitled “Revisiting the Relationship between Civil Law and Procedural Law from the Perspective of Dispute Resolution” as an invited speaker in the Global & Comparative Law Lecture Series. The lecture was moderated by A.P. Zhang Shuanggen of Peking University Law School. Several professors specializing in substantive civil law and procedural law from Peking University Law School and other universities served as discussants. The lecture attracted a large audience of faculty members and students from within and outside the University, generating lively discussion and an enthusiastic response.
