The 2014 1st Annual Directors’ Meeting of Liberal Arts Base Held Successfully in PKU Law School

On October 14, 2014, the 2014 1st Annual Directors' Meeting of Liberal Arts Base held successfully in PKU Law School in the conference room of the Courtyard. This meeting was sponsored by the Division of Social Sciences, Peking University and was hosted by the Constitutional Administrative Law Research Center, Peking University. The Honorary Director of the Centre Professor Luo Haocai, the Minister of Social Sciences Wang Bo, vice minister Wang Zhouyi, director of the Administrative Law Research Center Professor Jiang Mingan, Associate Dean of Law School Professor Xue Jun and other director and the secretary of key research base of the school attended the meeting, including Professor Mo Yuchuan the executive Director of the constitutional and Administrative Law Research Center at the Renmin University of China. The meeting was chaired by Professor Jiang Mingan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Social Sciences Professor Wang Bo made an introduction of the meeting and the development of the base. He noted that the liberal arts base in Peking enjoyed an overall strength as only the most advantageous disciplines were selected during the original declaration. Professor Jiang Mingan, director of the Constitutional Administrative Law Research Center made a report on the overall situation, research activities, academic exchanges program, service practices, construction and reform of the base, and problems from 2009 to 2013.Professor Xue Jun, Assistant Dean of Law School, pointed out that the Center acts an important role in expanding the influence and personnel training of the Law School, so the school will continue to provide security and support for the work of the Centre. Professor Mo Yuchuan from Renmin University of China stated that the Constitution and Administrative Law Research Center of Peking University should make a leading in the contribution to the academic development and providing more basic theory or cutting-edge academic output.
The other 12 participants, director or person in charge of the base, made a brief introduction of the operating of the base and put forward their opinions. The meeting ended in a warm atmosphere.
