"Legal Services and Risk Management for Cross-Border Transactions: A Common Law Perspective” (Spring 2025) by Hong Kong Law Society

Co-launched by Peking University Law School and The Law Society of Hong Kong in 2019, this course is organized by Dai Xin, Tenured Associate Professor of Peking University Law School. The entire content of the course is delivered by practicing lawyers who have long been engaged in cross-border legal practice in Hong Kong. The Law Society of Hong Kong takes charge of course design, coordination and speaker selection. It also appoints a number of outstanding lawyers to teach students the practices and skills involved in international legal practice and cross-border legal services. The course content covers theoretical and practical operational knowledge in multiple fields including the Hong Kong legal system, cross-border investment, commercial crimes, and international commercial dispute resolution. It also incorporates in-depth analysis and discussion of specific cases, so as to enhance students’ legal analysis capabilities and practical skills from multiple perspectives.
