International Visiting Scholars Program
International Visiting Scholars Program
Peking University Law School hosts a limited number of international visitors each year. Enrolled international visitors will have access to our campus facilities and resources to pursue their research projects, often in collaboration with our faculty members.
Interested applicants may email pkulaweao@law.pku.edu.cn to inquire about availability of a spot in the program. Please include the following application materials in or as attachments to your email:
- Current CV;
- A short description of your research project and sources of funding;
- The approximate dates of your arrival and departure;
- The name of at least one Peking University Law School faculty member with whom you plan to collaborate during your visit.
- Letter of recommendation from your supervisor (such letter may be emailed by your supervisor directly to pkulaweao@law.pku.edu.cn, or by you together with all other application materials)
- Filled information sheet (see attachment)
- A short description of your research project and sources of funding;

The application deadline for prospective visitors in the Spring Semester is October 31 of the foregoing year. Spring visitors may stay for three months of their choice from March to June. The application deadline for prospective visitors in the Fall Semester is May 31 of the same year. Fall visitors may stay for three months of their choice from September to December.
Please note that the Law School may only issue invitation letters in support of application for the 90-day single-entry visa. The accepted applicants are responsible for arranging for their own visa, travel and accommodation, with necessary clerical assistance from the Law School. The Law School does not charge fees nor provide financial assistances to visiting scholars.
