PKU Law School Macau Alumni Association Holds Seminar on “Legal Safeguards for Macau's High-Quality Development”

On May 23, 2026, the Macau Alumni Association of Peking University (PKU) Law School held a seminar in Macau on legal safeguards for the city's high-quality development, attended by over 50 alumni alongside PKU Law School leadership and professors. Coinciding with China’s 14th Five-Year Plan and Macau’s third five-year plan, the event featured keynote speeches and discussions on topics including national development planning, e-government legal frameworks, conflict-of-laws between Macau and the mainland, capital market reform, and low-altitude economy innovation. Dean Guo Li emphasized that alumni in Macau are a vital force in supporting the region's integration into national development under “One Country, Two Systems.” During the visit, Dean Guo Li also met with the Chief Justice of Macau's Court of Final Appeal to discuss judicial training and academic cooperation. The event highlights PKU Law School's ongoing effort to leverage alumni networks as regional legal think tanks.
