Peking Law Team Wins National Championship at the 18th Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot
Date:2026-07-01
In April 2026, the Peking University Law School team claimed the national championship at the 18th Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot CIETAC Chinese (Mainland) National Rounds in Guangzhou, defeating 38 competing teams from universities across China in the team's first-ever appearance at this competition. Team members Ge Peiyu, Shi Xiaoyu, and Chen Qingyang each received Best Oralist honors in the preliminary rounds.
The Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot, co-organized by the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, is one of the most prestigious competitions in international investment arbitration, conducted entirely in English. The team was coached by Tenured Associate Professor Gao Wei. This first-time national championship further demonstrates Peking University Law School's growing strength in cultivating foreign-related legal talent for the field of international investment arbitration.
