PKU Law-Jones Day Summer Program in Shanghai

From August 27 to 29, 2025, the 3rd Jones Day International Legal Scholarship & Peking University-Jones Day Summer Training Camp on Global Rule of Law Literacy was successfully held in Shanghai. Over 40 outstanding students from more than 20 universities nationwide, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, China University of Political Science and Law and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, gathered at the Bund. Thanks to the meticulous arrangements made by Peking University Law School and Jones Day, the camp participants spent three fulfilling and memorable days.

This summer training camp carried forward the characteristics of “internationalization, practical orientation and interactivity” from previous sessions. It featured practical sharing sessions covering areas such as mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, compliance investigations, antitrust and dispute resolution. Meanwhile, it incorporated diverse activities including experience-sharing sessions with general counsel, visits to arbitration institutions and symposiums on international legal careers. The participants not only visited law firms and enterprises to listen to the insightful opinions of legal practitioners, but also exchanged ideas and sparked intellectual collisions in group discussions and presentations. This experience broadened their international perspective on the rule of law and deepened their understanding of foreign-related rule of law.
