PKU-HKU Joint Annual Conference Resumes
The 2024 PKU-HKU Joint Annual Conference on "The Tradition of Legal Scholarship and Technological Innovation" was successfully held at Peking University Law School on December 21.
In his welcoming remarks, Dean Guo Li reflected on the enduring academic partnership between the two institutions, highlighting its rich history and recent progress. He expressed sincere gratitude to the HKU delegation for visiting Peking University’s historic campus during the Law School’s 120th-anniversary celebrations. Dean Guo noted that the PKU-HKU Joint Annual Conference, established in 1999 and hosted alternately by the two schools, has flourished for 25 years, showcasing remarkable achievements in legal scholarship on both sides.
The conference featured six engaging sessions, covering a broad range of topics from traditional legal doctrines to cutting-edge issues in technology and global governance. The discussions demonstrated a commitment to addressing complex legal challenges with both theoretical rigor and practical insight, fostering deeper collaboration and innovation in the field of law.
