2024 PKU-Jones Day Global Rule of Law Summer Program Offers Students Insights into Leading Tech Companies
The 2024 Peking University-Jones Day Global Rule of Law Summer Program offered 29 top students valuable insights into the globalized legal landscape through visits to Lenovo Group, Sina Corporation, and Alibaba Cloud.
At Lenovo, students explored the intersection of law and AI, as well as the legal complexities of smart manufacturing. Gao Huandong, Vice President and General Counsel for China at Lenovo Group, and his legal team—including Bai Xiaokang, Ding Tian, Wang Xuan, and Liang Xiao—led an engaging session with the program participants.
Gu Haiyan, General Counsel of Sina Corporation, shared her expertise on the crucial role of internet law professionals and the core functions of corporate legal departments.
At Alibaba Cloud, students learned about the company's leading position in global cloud computing and the diverse responsibilities of its legal team.
These visits provided students with invaluable practical experience, sparking new reflections on their future careers and reinforcing their sense of mission and responsibility as future legal professionals.
