2023 Gathering of Minds: PKU Law School's Alumni Symposium in Nanjing
On November 25, 2023, Peking University Law School's Alumni Symposium was held the vibrant city of Nanjing. Sponsored by the PKULS Alumni Association, with the Nanjing branch lending its vital support, the event transcended mere networking. It became a vibrant tapestry of knowledge, inspiration, and forward-thinking dialogue.
A distinguished panel led by Gui Aiping, Guo Li, and Lu Jiangnan set the stage with insightful opening remarks. They all highlighted that the symposium's core mission was to foster collective development and ignite new flames of engagement within the diverse PKU Law School alumni community.
Representatives from across China, from Hong Kong to Hebei, painted vivid pictures of their local alumni initiatives, sparking ideas and collaboration. The event’s highlight was Professor Zhang Ping's post-symposium lecture, "China's Practice and International Coordination in AI-based Governance." Her timely message resonated deeply, urging a cautious yet ambitious approach to navigating the complexities of AI governance and emphasizing the crucial role of international collaboration in this rapidly evolving landscape.
