Peking University Law School convened a timely and impactful conference on October 26, 2023 on "Recent Developments in Rules and Dispute Settlement" within. Underlining China's growing role in this sphere, the conference welcomed key figures like Prof. Ning Qi, Vice President of Peking University, and Mr. Zhang Shaogang, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, who offered crucial insights during the opening ceremony.
Organized by Prof. Zhao Hong, the conference explored evolving laws and regulations in the field as well as dispute settlement practices through diverse speaker perspectives. Renowned figures like Ms. Meg Kinnear, Vice President of the World Bank and Secretary-General of ICSID, offered keynote speeches on the "Past, Present, and Future" of ICSID arbitration.
